Is CJC Private Or Public?

Central Johannesburg TVET College is one of 50 public TVET colleges in South Africa operating under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). There are eight TVET colleges in Gauteng. The College offers nationally accredited programs, i.e. National Technical Education (NATED) and National Certificate (Vocational) NC(V). These programs are quality assured by Umalusi, the Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training, to ensure a national standard.

The College provides a few skills programs in addition to the ones mentioned above in partnership with the relevant Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA). The relevant SETA Education and Training Quality Assurance (ETQA) unit has accredited and certified the programs.
