King Hintsa TVET College Document Required for 2025 Applications

Provide the following documents:

SA students:

  •  Certified copies of the ID of the Learner
  •  Certified copies of the ID of the Parent/Legal Guardian
  • One ID-size photo
  • Copy Certified of latest school report/Grade 9 or Higher

Foreign Students

  • A certified copy of the latest school qualification
  • A valid study permit until the end of the relevant study period
  • A foreign student registration fee

Entry Requirements For King Hintsa Tvet College

Report191 Business

Admission requirements:

  • NSC / N3 / Grade 12 or NCV L4 for N4
  •  N4 for N5
  •  N5 for N6 An appropriate National Certificate N3 Engineering Studies; or

Report1 191 Engineering

Admission requirements:

  • An appropriate National Certificate N3 Engineering Studies; or
  • A Senior Certificate, with at least three instructional offerings that apply to the instructional offerings chosen by the candidate for the program; or
  • An equivalent qualification
  •  Proceed to the next level only when the previous level has been completed i.e. N4 for N5, etc.

Entry Requirement For Report 191 Engineering N1 – N3

  • A student who has passed Grade 10 (STD 8) with 50% plus for Mathematics, and Physical Science. Students with technical subjects being treated as an added advantage
  •  A Student must have passed 3 vocational subjects including a major subject (theory for Technical School students).
  • Electrical Engineering students with no Technical subjects related to the program will be admitted to N1.

Entry Requirement For Report 191 Engineering N4 – N6

  •  A student who has passed Grade 12 technical, N3 or NQF Level 4 vocational will be admitted to N4
  •  Any student with Grade 12 and has obtained 40% in Mathematics and Physical Science will be admitted to N4 for Civil Engineering
  • For Electrical Engineering N4 a student must have passed grade 12 with 45% and more in Mathematics and Physical Science

Students Who Do Not Meet The Minimum Requirements For Admission

  •  Students who do not meet the minimum criteria for admission as outlined above may be directed to a Pre-Vocational Learning Program (PLP) which serves as a bridging course before enrolment on any qualification.
  •  Students who are not admitted because of space will be referred to other Colleges

Admission By Transfer

Admission and enrolment by transfer from another Institution shall be conditional upon the following:

  •  A satisfactory academic record of work undertaken in that Institution
  •  Certificate of good conduct acceptable to the institution.
  •  No outstanding debts at other institutions.
  •  Approval by the Head of Department.
  •  Availability of space for these students at King Hintsa College.
